Vinh Thuc island is located in Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province, covering a total area of ​​nearly 5000 hectares in the Vinh Thuc and Vinh Trung communes, about 10 km from the mainland. This is home to more than 700 households, mainly living by fishing and growing year round.

The roads connecting the villages and communes on the island are closer together. Early in May, 2016, Mong Cai City officially opened and exploited leisure and community based tourism services in Vinh Thuc island.

Transportation to Vinh Thuc

To go to Vinh Thuc island, you just need to take a car or go by motorbike to Mui Ngoc wharf, Binh Ngoc, Mong Cai and then go by canoe to the island.

Ticket price is 50,000 VND / person. There are 4 trips per day at 7 am, 10 am, 1 pm and 3 pm. When you come to the island, if you do not have a motorbike, you can rent one for 250,000 VND, from morning to night.


Vinh Thuc is still a pristine island so there are no high quality hotels and guest houses. To stay overnight on the island, visitors should actively contact to local households or nursery school on the island to ask for a vacation. The cost is negotiable but certainly not expensive. Visitors can bring camping tents to rest overnight.

Going deep into the winding roads of the island, you will meet the roads full of sim flowers. One side is covered with purple sim flowers, one side is the blue sea with wild, poetic beauty.
